Going the extra mile
ORLANDO, Fla. — Kathy Pruitt takes the biblical commandment of going the extra mile seriously.
In fact, Pruitt, a member of the Concord Street Church of Christ, ran 100 miles in support of Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes’ recent walk-a-thon.
While most participants trekked much shorter distances, the grandmother of two said she decided to run for a cause near and dear to her heart. She finished in 19 days.
Pruitt serves as an assistant cross country and track and field coach for Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora, northwest of Orlando.
