Ohio Valley University Lectureship

April 23, 2017 - April 26, 2017

Ohio Valley University (Vienna, West Virginia) will present its 59th Annual Bible Lectureship April 23-26, 2017. The theme for this year’s event is “Beginnings: Consequences of Creation.”

This series of lectures is based on the Bible’s special creation story, emphasizing that the creation was good. A true biblical worldview needs to be rooted here. Believers may not always make the best choices but they have a foundational basis for values and behaviors. Consequences come from failure to respect what made the creation good and to participate in things that caused its ruin. The lecture presentations will demonstrate how to live with hope in a world besieged and stymied by unhealthy conduct.

Highly qualified presenters come from local areas and across the country to share their knowledge and experience on these issues. Dr. Harold Shank, President of Ohio Valley University, will begin the lecture series on Sunday, April 23, at 7:00 PM, in the Ohio Valley University’s Alumni Gym, with a look at The Forgotten Creation. The schedule with session titles and presenters is available at ovu.edu/lectureship.

People return each year for the lectures because they feel there is something of value for them. Thayer Salisbury from Toledo, Ohio has been a frequent attendee.

“This is the ninth time in the last ten years that Chery and I attended the lectures. All nine have been worth the trip.”

People of all faiths and life experiences will benefit from participating in the presentations. The lectures and classes are open to the public and are free of charge. For more information, contact G.K. Pennington at [email protected] or
