Museum of the Bible – Oklahoma Christian University
September 2, 2015 - September 18, 2015
Sacra Pagina, a traveling exhibit of Museum of the Bible, highlights ways people approach and study the Bible. The exhibit features artifacts organized in 13 classifications designed to vividly tell the Bible’s story.
Oklahoma Christian University is honored to be the host campus for Sacra Pagina this September. OC’s Garvey Center Art Gallery will be open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each weekday from September 2 through September 18 (with the exception of Labor Day on Monday, September 7). Admission is free.
Some of the exhibit’s highlights include: 13th-century letters from Jerome, the person responsible for the Latin Vulgate (the Bible used by Roman Catholics); Erasmus’s Greek New Testament from 1521, which was used in the construction of the King James Version of the Bible; Martin Luther’s 16th-century translation of the New Testament, which was a driving force behind the Protestant Reformation; the Bodmer Papyri; and a replica of a portion of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
