Mission Lazarus Gala
September 7, 2017
Thursday, September 7, 2017
from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Join Nashville’s most talented songwriters for an evening of stories, songs and hope and appearances by Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt
In 2016, three successful Nashville songwriters took a three day trip to Mission Lazarus, and their lives were impacted forever. They witnessed the prevalence of poverty in the rural regions of Honduras – so representative of the western hemisphere’s economic disparities – and also witnessed firsthand the impact that founders Jarrod and Allison Brown have made as Christians who affirm the inherent worth of the lives of thousands of people in Honduras and Haiti through personal, family, church and economic development.
Now, songwriters Zach Crowell, Matt Jenkins and Bryan Simpson invite you to a special gala event on September 7, 2017 at The Mansion at the Fontanel in Nashville to celebrate Mission Lazarus. They have invited other songwriters and music artists to perform their greatest hits as well as reveal the stories behind the songs.
All performers have elected to donate the proceeds of the evening to launch Jarrod and Allison on their next level of ministry as they seek to reach thousands more for Christ. Proceeds from the benefit are mostly tax deductible and will go to advance the work of Mission Lazarus www.missionlazarus.org as they deliver a message of hope and salvation through development initiatives to underserved people.
The Fontanel Mansion was once the home of country music megastar Barbara Mandrell and is an experience of life as country royalty. The Mansion boasts over 20 rooms, 13 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, 2 kitchens, an indoor pool, and even an indoor shooting range. The entire 30,000 sq. ft. mansion will be open for gala guests to view.
We will kick off the evening with a cocktail reception at 5:30pm in the Pool Atrium, then dinner and live performances by Nashville songwriters. We will close out the evening with special guests Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt who will perform a few songs that have been especially meaningful in their lives, as a tribute of gratitude to their beloved songwriters.
Admission is by invitation only and limited to the first 200 guests who respond. Contact: Wendy Humphries, Host Committee Chairperson [email protected] for ticket information.
