Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, wife Korie tout adoption
The News Star in Monroe, La., reports:
Before “Duck Dynasty” captured the hearts of millions of families, Willie Robertson and wife Korie were just a young couple with a desire to start a family of their own.
Almost two decades — and five children later — the Robertson clan is part of one of America’s favorite families.
As a man who strongly believes in faith and family, Willie Robertson’s story of adoption is being featured throughout the state with the hope more people will choose follow suit. Two of Robertson’s children, a boy and a girl, were adopted.
On Friday, the Duck Commander CEO and his wife joined local legislators, pastors and members of the Louisiana Family Forum for the first of nine statewide symposiums to bring attention to he 4,500 children in Louisiana who are waiting for a permanent home.
The Robertsons are active members of the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, La.

FeedbackI would not watch your show, it seemed dumb to me. I attend the Church of Christ. I had been travelling around trying to help people. I was in Morristown TN attending the Church in Jefferson City, The people I was staying with loved your show so I watched it with them. I am glad I did.sandy queenAugust, 13 2013My family loves Duck Dynasty and especially that they are members of the Church of Christ having such good influence!DianneAugust, 13 2013Love the show. It’s clean. It’s fun. We need more family-based TV shows like this to take the place of horrible smut now available on major networks. Keep going “Duck Dynasty”. You’ll change Hollywood and Broadway in NYC. Love it. Jerry & AnnJerry HoggAugust, 16 2013Hey!
