Manzini, Swaziland
The Manzini Bible School in Manzini, Swaziland, needs funds to train men and women for leadership roles in Africa.Workers there recently planted macadamia trees as part of its “Tree of Life” fund-raising project but a Sept. 11 fire destroyed about 1,000 of the trees. A sapling costs $2 and about $15 to plant, fertilize and care for before it produces a crop in five or six years. The Pitman Church of Christ in Sewell, N.J., is gearing up for its Vacation Bible School/Community Enrichment Series for late June 2002. The church of about 200 requests help from a group of 15-20 teens plus an adult leader. Teens will work during the days conducting “Neighborhood Bible Funtimes” and minister to the community through service projects.
