Crutches and candy needed for children in Iraq

U.S. troops make crafts and a new friend at a home for disabled children in Tallil, Iraq. Churches in Arkansas and Missouri are collecting supplies for the home and a school in this southeastern Iraqi city. Working through military personnel stationed at nearby Ali Air Base, the churches have supplied blankets and other necessities.
John Kachelman, minister for the Judsonia, Ark., church, is helping to coordinate the collection of supplies, including crutches and other medical equipment, for the disabled children. The minister also requests that church members send candy, gum or other sweets to soldiers in Iraq, who give the treats to children as they deliver relief.
For more information, see missions.kachelman.com or call the Judsonia church at (501) 729-3004.
