The University Registrar will be responsible for the oversight of the Office of Student Information and Services, an integrated student services operation consisting of OneStop, Academic Advising for Seaver College, Student Records, Student Accounts, and Student Veterans Services. Also serves on University-wide committees (e.g. University Academic Council. University Management Committee, Emergency Operations Committee, etc.). Oversees academic policies and procedures to ensure consistent application and interpretation thereof. Pepperdine is a Christian university whose employees actively support this identity and environment.

Duties

Oversee senior director of student administrative services. Ensuring proper application of academic policies pertaining to academic advising, articulation agreements, policy exceptions, appropriate scheduling of advising functions, ensuring appropriate integration to student services to ensure effective service to students, faculty, and University community.

Oversee associate registrar for records, NCAA compliance functions, and student veterans services. Ensuring proper application of policies for all NCAA, Veterans Administration, and other regulatory bodies. Also, ensure proper production of transcripts for students and alumni.

Oversee associate registrar for student systems to ensure proper usage and application of student information system.

Oversee assistant registrar for diploma processing, graduate schools’ degree posting and services, FERPA compliance, NCAA compliance.

Support University mission through work performed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Master’s Degree. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in student services areas. Demonstrated extensive knowledge in student services, including registration, records, frontline services, student financial services, and understands financial aid processes. Experience with regulatory bodies (NCAA, VA, Department of Education, etc…) are extremely helpful. Must be able to communicate effectively in public settings, via written form, and in smaller settings. Must be able to be detail oriented while understanding the big picture. Ethical, moral, mature and professional.

Preferred: Substantial systems experience and involvement a plus. Experience in integrating student services and working across the whole institution is a definite plus. PeopleSoft or other student information system(s). Student financial processes. Academic processes administration.

This is a Contract, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $140,250.00 – $165,000.00 annually

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
