The Landmark Church of Christ is seeking well-qualified applicants for the Spiritual Formation/Missions Minister position. We are particularly interested in candidates with significant experience in the field of spiritual formation and missions. The Spiritual Formation/Missions minister is responsible for leading and guiding the church family into a deeper relationship with Jesus by creating environments that enhance spiritual transformation and provide opportunities for discipleship. The Landmark Church values Bible study. This position will be responsible for leading the adult Bible education ministry to assist in growing members into disciples of Christ. The position is designed to help the church work toward a vital, healthy, mutually beneficial relationship between the church family, missionaries in the mission field and the local people groups we serve. This position involves discovering local and international mission opportunities and developing a long-range plan with goals, strategies, and action plans to ensure the effectiveness of all mission points. One of the major mission components is to care for the spiritual and physical needs of our missionary families serving in the field. International travel is required. The Spiritual Formation/Missions Minister oversees all ministries relating to Missions including enlisting, training, and supervising for local and global missions. The position also manages budget, fund raising and expenditures of allocated funds.
Must have strong written and verbal skills along with solid interpersonal skills for working on a team with other church staff and volunteers. Must be comfortable with traveling and experiencing different cultures. Must be self-directed, possess strong leadership skills and be well organized. This position also requires strong public speaking skills. Most importantly, the Spiritual Formation/Mission Minister must be passionate about spreading their faith to other people and must be intentional about the mission of “leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus.”
