*Position Description: Church Relationship Representative
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer (“CAO”), the Church Relationship Representative (“CRR”) will be responsible for presenting WBS to prospective congregations, elderships, teachers, etc. Additionally, the CRR will focus on being a support to the WBS staff around launching new WBS teaching Postal, Online and Ocean Bridge programs for congregations.
This role must also be effective to mentor leaders who mentor leaders. The Paul – Timothy mentoring method in Biblical principles is essential to the long-term survival and far-reaching impact of the WBS. The reward is seeing God move in powerful ways to reach more lost souls and equipping more Christians to share Jesus all around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Support WBS’s continued success through a commitment to its vision and mission.
• Be professional, articulate, enthusiastic, and informed of all WBS’s tools, systems, and resources.
• Work respectfully and collaboratively with all staff members and others across all departments, including Church Advancement, Marketing, Technology, and Finance departments daily.
• Participate in recruiting new WBS teaching congregations and teachers.
• Participate in helping to launch and nurture new WBS teaching programs including Postal, Online, and Ocean Bridge.
• Train, motivate, and equip congregations and individuals on how to use Mathetis, WBS Study Bible, WBS Curriculum, and WBS Library, and encouraging people to subscribe to our ACTION! Media content.
• Participate in motivating and equipping WBS Study Helpers and Coordinators.
• Assist congregations to meet their evangelistic goals.
• Inspire engagement from outside supporters through church of Christ meetings including meetings with Elders, ministers, and other church members.
• Participate in professional development, mentoring, and training.
• Help coordinate annual dinners throughout the country.
DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 100 to 200 touches expected per month (not limited to) phones calls, visiting prospective new churches and current church participates.
• Proactive follow-up touches with congregations within stated region for optimal motivating and equipping.
• Extensive traveling within a region to perform church relations activity, prospecting, presenting, and working events.
• Engage, retain, and increase church participation.
• Manage and maintain thorough prospect profiles and track interactions in Bloomerang (WBS’ Customer Relationship Management software) to ensure organizational memory of relationships.
• Develop a regional strategic plan on an annual basis in concert with WBS’s CAO.
• Submit weekly reporting and maintain records of daily activity for monthly reporting.
• Participate in weekly team advancement meetings.
• Ensure best practices are followed and achieved.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree in public relations, marketing, fundraising, or equivalent experience is ideal.
• Background in preaching and teaching is beneficial.
• Valid driver license, safe driving record & proof of auto liability insurance.
Strong communication skills including the ability to write and speak passionately and persuasively about our mission.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented with proven organizational skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills, with dynamic capacity to inspire new donor support.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, video conferencing, and operating projectors.
