The Merced church of Christ in Merced, California, is seeking a full-time minister as our current minister retires after 36 years of faithful service.
We are looking for a man who is sound in the faith, energetic, people-oriented, and passionate about growing the Kingdom of God. Preaching experience is preferred; however, we will also consider a graduate of a brotherhood university or preaching school who is seeking his first ministry opportunity.
The successful candidate must be a faithful member of the Lord’s church, the church of Christ, and desire to build a long-term relationship with a loving congregation and become an integral part of our church family. Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability and technological proficiency are highly desirable.
Our congregation consists of approximately 90 members and is led by two elders and three deacons. We are an evangelistically minded, friendly congregation that loves the Lord, cares for one another, and is committed to reaching lost souls.
Merced is a growing Central California community of approximately 98,000 residents located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. The city is home to Merced College and the University of California, Merced, and is within easy driving distance of Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, and the Pacific Coast.
