Assistant Professor of History
The Department of Humanities invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of History. The department offers a B.A. degree and a minor in history. The candidate will be expected to teach upper- and lower-level history courses, especially U.S. history general survey courses and early colonial history, to advise and mentor students, and to serve on committees as needed.
A Ph.D. in history is preferred, but candidates with a master’s degree in history will be considered. The ideal candidate will not only have an earned doctorate but will also have strong teaching experience and an interest in mentoring undergraduate research.
