DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES
Seeking full-time faculty member. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a master’s degree in child development, human development, family studies, or a related family and consumer sciences area. Ph.D. preferred. Applicants should have the Certified in Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and the Certified in Family Life Educator (NCFR) credentials and have teaching experience in child development, family and interpersonal relationships. Responsibilities include teaching courses in areas of specialty, including courses required to meet the Arkansas Birth to Five Early Childhood Teaching credential; recruiting, mentoring and advising students; and serving on departmental, college, and university committees.
All candidates should be active members of the church of Christ and demonstrate a commitment to Christian education. Harding University is a private Christian institution of higher education chiefly supported by the churches of Christ.
