Employment Available: Assistant Professor of Engineering
The Department of Engineering and Physics invites applications for faculty positions in engineering and physics that likely will begin in Fall 2018. The position(s) will be contingent on funding and may be at any faculty or contract level. For a tenure-track position, scholarship/research is required. A strong interest in undergraduate teaching is required, and involving undergraduates in scholarship activities is highly encouraged. ACU offers degrees in physics and engineering with various concentrations. The B.S.E. degree has recently been accredited by ABET, and the department is housed in the new $50 million science complex that includes the state-of-the-art Halbert-Walling Research Center, the Engineering and Physics Laboratories at Bennett Gymnasium, and the Robert R. and Kay Onstead Science Center. The department has a reputation of producing students who excel not only in academics, but also show strong personal characteristics of honesty and integrity.
