Lubbock Christian University seeks a visionary leader to head all financial operations of the institution, including the development of short and long-term financial and operational strategies to meet the challenging trends in higher education. Serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, he or she will assist the President in the active management of the institution and perform specific duties as prescribed by the President or the Board of Trustees. System responsibilities include budgeting, accounting, and reporting for all operations; information technology and the institution’s ERP system; investment of operating and endowment funds; and capital projects and maintenance programs.
Reporting directly to the President, the Chief Financial Officer will lead day-to-day business operations and evaluate resource allocation alternatives, ensuring the President is appropriately informed on all financial matters. He/she will provide leadership to the financial and business operations of Lubbock Christian University including forecasting, strategic planning, asset and risk management, maintaining and improving banking and treasury relationships, financial statement preparation, insurance programs, reporting compliance, internal controls and investment management.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Economics. CPA preferred. Two years recent experience as a Controller or a minimum of five years of experience that is directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities gained through increasingly responsible positions within planning and management of financial operations.
