York College, transitioning to University in summer 2022, seeks a dynamic, capable individual to lead the Department of Biblical Studies as a full-time, 9-month faculty member and chair. The department serves a small number of majors and all other programs require students to complete six Bible courses. The vision for this program is to transition focus on the Jesus story and the foundational truths of His teachings, developing a practical faith, spiritual nurturing and discipleship, and living the way of Jesus in transformative community.
Qualifications and Duties: Responsibilities include classroom instruction each semester, participating in departmental assessment, academic advising, and engaging in service to the institution, community, and kingdom. Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree. All applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills and interest in the academic and spiritual development of undergraduate students. A successful candidate will be an active member of the churches of Christ / Stone Campbell heritage and demonstrate a commitment to Christian education. York College is a private Christian institution of higher learning affiliated with the churches of Christ.
