Lipscomb University
The interdisciplinary Department of English & Modern Languages at Lipscomb University invites applicants for department chair with a start date of August, 2022. We are seeking an Associate or Full Professor of English specializing in Rhetoric and Composition or closely related field. This is a 10-month appointment. We are especially interested in applicants with WPA and/or Writing Center experience. This position includes teaching undergraduate writing courses (FYC and technical/professional writing courses); contributing service (possibly including chairing the department and directing the Writing Studio); and maintaining an active research agenda.
The successful candidate will lead a small but energetic faculty committed to student success. Our current department faculty enjoy small class sizes, support for scholarly activity and professional development, and a collegial environment.
