The Lubbock Christian University Department of Natural Sciences
seeks a highly qualified science educator/scholar to contribute to continued excellence in our undergraduate science programs. The successful candidate will have the capability and desire to teach both anatomy and physiology lecture and laboratory courses. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop curriculum that enhances course effectiveness and integration within the overall natural sciences’ curriculum. The LCU Department of Natural Sciences desires faculty who can contribute to the university mission of preparing science professionals for lives of purpose and service, prioritizing moral and ethical development.
An earned doctorate in biology or closely related field is required. Persons with a master’s degree who are pursuing a doctorate in biology may be considered; however, the person will not become tenure-track eligible until completion of the doctorate. The ideal candidate will not only have an earned doctorate with an emphasis in anatomy and physiology but will also have strong teaching experience and an interest in leading and mentoring undergraduate research. Excellent communication skills are expected.
