The Department of Education at Freed-Hardeman University invites applications for an individual to serve as a full-time faculty member and Director of the Ed.S. and M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership programs beginning Fall 2020. Programs within the Department of Education, accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator\ Preparation (CAEP), offer outstanding undergraduate and graduate programs. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ed.D., Ph.D.) in instructional leadership, educational leadership, or administration and supervision, as well as appropriate state licensure in school administration and supervision. The applicant must also have at least three years of leadership experience in public and/or private school settings.
As a faculty member, the candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses in the University’s Instructional Leadership programs. The rank and salary for the position will be based on degree and experience. This is a tenure-track position.
As director, the candidate will be responsible for the strategic development, strategic growth, implementation, supervision, student advising, accreditation activities, and assessment of the Education Specialist degrees (Ed.S.) in Instructional Leadership, the Masters degree (M.Ed.) in Instructional Leadership, and the administrative and supervision licensure program.
