Church of Christ in California gets a little help from Chase Bank

The Daily Democrat in Woodland, Calif., reports:

With a little help from Chase Bank, the Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ is about to undergo one the largest changes in its brief history.
The bank has agreed to give the church the property it needs to build an auditorium that could one day house hundreds.
In the 1990s, the church was just a group of 12 gathering in rented rooms. Since then church has refurbished its home at the corner of College Street and Kentucky Avenue. In that time its ranks have swelled to more than 100 members and appear to be growing.
Its members have doubled in the last three years alone, Elder Jim Morgan said.
“I think it’s the gospel,” he said.
