Church members help with tornado relief

Got water?
Members of Churches of Christ helped quench a tornado-devastated Mississippi community’s thirst in a big way.
The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports:

The Yazoo City Church of Christ distributed 184,000 bottles of water on Wednesday and Thursday alone, said Dr. John Dial, the church’s minister. Teams from Siwell Road Church of Christ in Jackson, from Arkansas, Kentucky and other states have come to help.
Everyday people are driving the recovery effort, he said.
“They’re all a bunch of Andrews. They’re not in the pulpit; they’re not getting their names in the paper,” he said. Those who are helping aren’t getting or seeking much publicity, and they’re still making a difference.

Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort and other ministries are helping in the storm’s aftermath. If you know of other details or needs, we invite you to leave a comment.
