Church group performs community service in South Carolina

The Florence Morning News in South Carolina reports:

FLORENCE — A group from the Smithville Church of Christ came from Smithville, Tenn., for the fifth year this week to help with vacation Bible school at Gregg Avenue Church of Christ and perform community service in the Maple Park neighborhood.
The group consisted of 13 youth and five adults. It was led by Tim Woodward of the Smithville Church of Christ. Smithville is about an hour east of Nashville.
“One of our members moved to this area about five years ago,” Woodward said. “She told us the Gregg Avenue Church of Christ was looking for help with their vacation Bible school, and here we are. We enjoy coming every year.”
The vacation Bible school theme this year was “Jungle Journey.” It explained the nature of God.
