NORTHAMPTON, England — More than 120 Christians from 13 British congregations attended an evening of singing hosted by the
Church of Christ in Northampton, England.
Graham Fisher, editor of
The Christian Worker , distributed copies of the 2013 directory of Churches of Christ in the United Kingdom.
Richard Sharpe and Kunle Orekoya, two elders of the Northampton church, led the hymns discussed by Rushford, with
Pepperdine University’s International Program in London.
Frank Worgan, a 91-year-old minister for the
Corby Church of Christ, led the closing prayer.
“It was one of the best evenings I have spent in a long time,” said Trevor Williams, an evangelist from Stapleford who made a three-hour round trip to participate in the event. “I think we are forgetting to sing for the sheer joy of it, quite apart from praising our maker.”
