Patrick Brown
Pat Brown has served as The Christian Chronicle’s first full-time advancement officer since July 2026.
Brown’s ties to the Chronicle go back more than 30 years. He’s the son-in-law of the late Bailey McBride, the longtime editor and columnist known for his decades of devotion to the Chronicle’s mission.
Brown fondly remembers discussing articles McBride was writing and realizing the value of objective Christian journalism.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Brown followed in the footsteps of a sister and two brothers who also attended Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. He met and married his wife, Lynette, during his college years studying business and marketing. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Oklahoma Christian in 1986. For the past 15 years, he has held positions in project management and fundraising.
Brown is a deacon of the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, which he attends with his wife, a retired elementary educator, along with his two daughters and two grandsons. He enjoys Bible class teaching, public speaking, sailing and watching movies. He’s thrilled to be a part of the Chronicle staff, where is able to bring a lifetime of experiences, relationships and service-oriented focus to enhance what the Chronicle already has achieved.
