McMillon is dean emeritus of the College of Biblical Studies at Oklahoma Christian University and a Distinguished Professor of Bible. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marital and Family Therapist.
An elder of the Memorial Road Church of Christ, he and his wife, Joy, a Chronicle administrative assistant and former Managing Editor, have been married for 55 years. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
