Appreciation for Dan Rodriguez interview

I read with excitement the article/interview by/with Dan Rodriguez! Would that it were put in every newspaper in the country. Dan appears to have really done his homework. I am not Hispanic, but I have seen this coming for the past decade. The Church of Christ must wake up to this mission field that is “white unto harvest” within our own borders. And we don’t need visas, passports or Spanish language fluency to work it. The works in Mexico, Cuba, et al. are wonderful, but what about the 35.5 million Latinos in our neighborhoods? We norteamericanos are spending about $2,500 a year for a two-week foreign mission trip. That money, in many cases, could be used more efficiently here in the States. Just look at Elmer Duckett’s ministry in CA and Larry White’s in LA.
