America’s oldest professor, age 91, retires from Oklahoma Christian University

“I’ve enjoyed my career at Oklahoma Christian very much,” said Professor Harold Fletcher.
And what a career it was. Fletcher, who was the oldest active professor in the United States and still sharp as a tack, taught his final class on Thursday — his 91st birthday.
“I never thought that I would reach the age of 91 when I started at this school in 1950,” Fletcher said. “I certainly never thought that I would be teaching my last class on my birthday at 91 years old.”
