Alone in a crowd in Brazil

Brent McFarland and Chris Tomberlin, students at Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas, stand on a crowded street in Sao Luis, Brazil. The city of about 1 million people in northern Brazil has no known Churches of Christ, said Tim Brumfield, international student coordinator and instructor for Sunset. In addition to surveying Sao Luis, Brumfield and the students worked with Sunset graduates in the Brazilian city of Recife and congregations in Salvador and Aracaju. Brumfield plans to return to Brazil in June 2009 to conduct gospel campaigns.

I was an exchange student to Rio de Janerio, Brazil in 1970. There were no Churches of Christ close enough for me to attend at that time. Someday I would Love to return to Brazil. Perhaps in my lifetime there will be a missionary trip I can go on to Brazil.
