MISSISSIPPI

SALTILLO — The Mayfield Church of Christ recently distributed clothes and Bibles during its second annual community giveaway.

The 150-member congregation started collecting everything from socks to coats in October 2022, while other organizations like the Antioch Church of Christ in Blue Springs, Miss., and the Saltillo High School Beta Club helped.

The outreach started in early 2022 after Mayfield church member Carson Miller, 15, observed a need.

The first event helped 75 families, and the church hoped to serve more than 100 this year, the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported.

Unclaimed clothing will be shipped to Ukraine via World/Ukraine Missions, which is associated with Churches of Christ.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — “Our Legacy of Faith,” a book published by Legacy Church of Christ members, delves into fellow Christians’ faith journeys.

“The book came together because one of our Sunday school teachers made a statement that he’d love to know more about the people in the congregation,” Kaye Trisler said.
